Druckwerk Lustenau

The Druckwerk is an exhibition center and open, fully functional printing workshop specializing in relief and book printing, lithography and screen printing. Interested visitors can participate hands-on practicing these printing techniques. After being introduced to the professional equipment and printing process desired, they can work independently and at their own pace. The main objective is to make traditional printing more accessible to the public, with the hope of revitalizing and advancing these arts.

Visitors are also introduced to a typographic and printing shop, where artistic works are created. On view in the workshop are old printing machines and printing presses, whose fascinating technology is demonstrated on guided tours. Emphasis is placed on those techniques which are used specifically in the workshop itself. In addition, there are special exhibits, lectures and courses, including events for schools, apprentices and groups of young people.
