German Hat Museum Lindenberg

Take a stroll through 300 years of hat fashion and discover familiar, interesting and curious facts about headwear. The hands-on stations invite you to try things out and marvel. Experience the fascinating craft of the hatter in our "factory cinema" and discover well-known and famous hat wearers in our "Huttornado". The factory building in which the Hat Museum is located today is considered an important contemporary witness of Lindenberg's industrial hat manufacturing. In 2015, the 1000 square metre museum was awarded the German Museum Prize and was nominated for the European Museum Award in 2016.
