An Alpine jewel

The Lünersee, once one of the largest natural lakes in the Eastern Alps, is located at an altitude of 1,970 m. Although it lies at the valley ending of the Brandnertal, the lake belongs to the parish of Vandans in the neighbouring Montafon valley.

It is a perfect spot for families, mountain aficionados and nature lovers. The Lünersee marks the start of countless walks, among them a climb to the Schesaplana, the highest mountain in the Rätikon range. The unique character of the Rätikon, the clear mountain air and the breathtaking Alpine scenery all combine to ensure that your visit to the lake will be unforgettable.

The Lünersee also provides perfect conditions for anglers.

Mountaineering is a further attraction: the ascent of the Kirchlispitzen and the Schesaplana peaks number among the most enjoyable climbing tours in the Rätikon range.
